Basic Maintenance

• Avoid Water: Never use water to clean a stain, as it can permanently discolor or stiffen the leather.

• Suede Brush: Use a dedicated suede brush regularly to lift the nap and remove surface dust. Always brush in one direction.

• Protect Early: Apply a suede protector spray before wearing the item outside to create a barrier against rain and oils.

• Dry Completely: If the item gets wet, let it air dry naturally. Keep it away from heaters or direct sunlight, which can crack the leather.

Removing Stains & Marks

• Suede Eraser: Use a suede eraser (or a clean pencil eraser) to gently rub away dry scuffs or small dirt marks.

Proper Storage

• Breathable Bags: Store suede in a cotton dust bag. Avoid plastic, as suede needs to "breathe" to prevent mold.

• Dark Environment: Store in a cool, dark place to prevent the dye from fading, as suede is very susceptible to UV damage.

• Vinegar for Salt/Water: For stubborn water rings or salt stains, use a cloth lightly dampened with white vinegar. Blot gently and let it dry.

• Cornstarch for Oil: If you spill oil or grease, cover it with cornstarch or talcum powder overnight to soak up the liquid, then brush it away.

• Steam for Shaded Areas: If the suede looks flat or matted, hold it over a steaming kettle (at a safe distance) and brush it to revive the texture.
