This contemporary skort offers an exceptionally clever, modern interpretation of relaxed summer tailoring, channeling a distinct Japanese understated utility aesthetic. Blending the graceful drape of a side-slit midi skirt with the effortless security of tailored shorts beneath, this hybrid design delivers high-concept structural dimension without compromising on daily movement.

Materials

• Fabric Composition: Crafted from a premium lightweight weave of Lyocell and Cotton.

• Properties: This refined fiber combination maximizes summer comfort. Lyocell lends a fluid, silky drape and cooling hand-feel, while natural cotton provides structural stability to hold the crisp lines of the waist and side slit. The result is a soft, smooth fabric that breathes exceptionally well and moves beautifully against the body.

• Color Way: Presented in a deep, sophisticated charcoal black that grounds the asymmetric layered panels and shifts beautifully in tone across the draped lines.

Details

• Asymmetric Side-Slit Skirt Overlay: Designed with a fluid midi-length outer skirt flap that features a dramatic, high-set side slit, revealing the tailored shorts beneath during movement.

• Integrated Tailored Shorts: The interior features matching, structured wide-leg shorts engineered to sit comfortably flush against the skin, providing total ease of mind and a subtle layered layout.

• Clean Flat-Front Waistband: Tailored with a smooth, minimalist high-rise waist to cleanly anchor the hips, completed with a flexible, gathered elasticated back for a highly adaptive fit.

• Relaxed Wide-Leg Column: Cut with a straight, airy drape that mimics the sweeping elegance of a continuous midi skirt while retaining the functional spirit of a short.

Construction

• Hidden Side Zip Closure: Completed with a low-profile, tonal zipper insertion along the side seam to ensure the entry path remains entirely seamless and uncluttered.

• Reinforced Slit Bartacks: The top vertex of the dramatic side slit is reinforced with subtle, high-density stitching to preserve the drape and prevent fabric stress over time.

• The Cleaning: Machine wash inside out on a cold, delicate cycle inside a mesh laundry bag with a mild liquid detergent to protect the fluid lyocell-cotton weave.

• The Maintenance: Hang immediately to air dry naturally away from direct sunlight. Use a medium-heat garment steamer to release soft packing creases while fully preserving the textile's signature smooth texture.

• The Storage: Store clipped neatly by the waistband to a sturdy skirt hanger, allowing both the inner shorts and outer slit flap to hang naturally without bunching.

An exceptional foundation piece for architectural, warm-weather layering. Accentuate the high-waisted profile by pairing it with the Shoulder-Buttoned Cropped Heather Grey Vest worn over a simple white tee. Complete the sharp, modern aesthetic by grounding the asymmetric lines with the Brushed Calf Leather Side-Buckle Loafers or the delicate Repetto Pointy Double-Strap Slingback Mary Janes.
